The State Tourism Satellite Accounts highlight the importance of tourism to each state and territory's economy. These reports are produced by Tourism Research Australia on modelled regional expenditure estimates which are derived from the International Visitors Survey and the National Visitors Survey and therefore subject to volatility in estimates especially for the smaller states and territories.

The Regional Tourism Satellite Accounts measure the value of tourism to the economy in Tasmania’s regions. Produced in partnership with the Tasmanian Government, Tourism Research Australia commissioned Deloitte to prepare reports across every state in Australia, enabling comparisons across both states and regions nationally.
