Driving winter visitation with Virgin Australia partnership

Supported by a strong partnership with Tourism Tasmania, and as part of an expanded winter marketing strategy, the flight sale is one of the biggest for Tasmania with a guaranteed discount on a significant number of seats for winter alone. 

In an increasingly competitive holiday marketplace, our airline partnerships are vital to ensure affordable access for visitors and Tasmanians and to support our tourism industry year-round.

The flight sale runs from 4 March – 8 March 2024. Lite fares will start from $39 for select travel dates between 30 April 2024 and 12 December 2024 when booked via Virgin Australia’s website.

Discounted fares are for flights to/from Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne - Launceston and Hobart, and to/from Perth - Hobart. Adelaide - Launceston and Hobart will run in the shoulder seasons.

Tourism Tasmania’s winter campaign, the Off Season, begins in April with advertising appearing across Australia on a broad range of platforms.
