TasTalk 2018

Save the date and get ready to promote your product

Tourism Tasmania is holding its new trade event, TasTalk, in Hobart in late June 2018.

The two-day event will combine the previous Tasbound and Tassie Specialist Conference to create a broader and more dynamic travel trade event that will see around 120 travel sellers come to Hobart to learn more about the best Tasmanian tourism products and experiences we have to offer.

This is a fantastic opportunity for operators to bring their product or experience to the attention of these influential domestic and international travel sellers.

Day 1: Thursday, 28 June 2018

Tourism Tasmania and ATEC will host up to 40 Inbound Tour Operators (ITOs). If you are a Tasmanian-based wholesale contracted tourism operator who is currently working with ITOs in international markets, this will be a great opportunity to showcase your product or experience direct to key ITOs.

Day 2: Friday, 29 June 2018

The second day of TasTalk will see around 80 Tassie Specialist travel sellers from around the country and New Zealand attend the event. Tassie Specialists are mainly domestic travel agents who have completed Tourism Tasmania’s destination training, and are a significant part of the domestic travel distribution chain.

To make the most of these visits, Tourism Tasmania invites Tasmanian-based wholesale contracted suppliers to promote their product in a series of face-to-face appointments.

This is a great opportunity to promote your business direct to these groups of highly motivated sellers, providing them with information about Tasmania and how to better sell the destination to their customers.

Depending on your business, product or experience, you'll be able to sign up for two days, or select the day that suits your market. Expressions of interest will open mid-March. So for now, save the dates in your calendar and keep an eye on our Tourism Talk newsletter for more information on when the EOI process will open.
