The Off Season 2025 – ‘become a winter person’

The fifth annual Off Season campaign will continue to position Tasmania as a must-visit winter destination, focused on driving visitation during the traditionally quieter travel period between May and August.

During the 2025 campaign, industry offers and events will play a major role in improving operator visibility and direct bookings, across a highly integrated campaign.  The Off Season is now live on our consumer website with inspiring information, articles and Off Season offers and events.

Tourism Tasmania will align marketing activity to ensure Off Season offers are presented to potential travellers at a time of year when they are considering their next winter holiday.

We have made improvements to the user experience on the Discover Tasmania website and app to drive more leads to industry including better filters in the offers page, enhancements to participating operators’ ATDW profile pages and more.

The Off Season campaign will officially launch on 30 March 2025.

Industry Offers

Offer submissions are now closed.

You can view Off Season offers and events that are currently published on our consumer website.

Stories of several operators with offers in this year’s campaign were selected for inclusion as local experts on the Off Season.

And there are a host of new articles featuring industry offers and events to guide and inspire consumers to visit.

Industry Resources

The Create Your Offer — Industry Toolkit [PDF, 5.6MB] was created to give industry operators a campaign overview and support with creating an offer or event to participate in the Off Season.

Off Season 2025 Logo

Please feel free to include the Off Season 2025 logo on your landing page to connect your offer or event to the wider campaign.

  • The green on black version is the best for web and digital use.
  • The black and white version is for print only.
  • Download all logos [ZIP file, 159KB] including JPEG and PNG formats.
  • Please replace any older versions from previous campaigns with these new ones.

Our second Promote and Convert Your Offer — Industry Toolkit will be available soon.

Some social media assets are currently under development and will be shared with participating operators soon.

Event organisers

Winter events and festivals will again feature throughout the Off Season activity.

If your event is scheduled to occur during the Off Season period of 1 May – 31 August, when your event details are finalised, please create an event profile in the Australian Tourism Data Warehouse.

This allows your event to be found in the What’s On and Off Season Event pages on the Discover Tasmania website and app as soon as it is approved.

An event is defined as anything that relies on visitor attendance, whether free or ticketed, that is held on a set date/dates. If you are unsure about eligibility, please email us to discuss at industry@tourism.tas.gov.au.
