Program highlights

Day 1: Thursday, 28 June 2018

Trade Workshop for ITOs - Blundstone Arena (full day)

Inbound Tour Operators from ATEC's membership base will be invited to attend TasTalk. This day is for Tasmanian inbound-ready operators to meet with buyers in a one-on-one timed appointment. Further details of the mandatory requirements needed to attend this day are noted in the EOI. Appointment selection will be by preference. This B2B component of TasTalk replaces Tourism Tasmania's event known as Tasbound.

Welcome cocktail function - The Henry Jones Art Hotel

TasTalk operators, ITOs and Tassie Specialists are invited to this event

Day 2: Friday, 29 June 2018

Trade Workshop for Tassie Specialists - Blundstone Arena (full day)

Tassie Specialists are domestic travel sellers from across Australia and New Zealand who have voluntarily completed Tourism Tasmania's online training program in their own time to improve their knowledge and understanding of Tasmania. They are motivated sellers who are looking to gain a competitive edge in selling Tasmania to their clients in order to convert enquiries into bookings.

This workshop will be speed-dating style where operators will have the opportunity to meet with these domestic sellers in a series of face-to-face appointments (2-3 Tassie Specialists per appointment time). This B2B component of TasTalk replaces Tourism Tasmania's event known as Tassie Specialist Conference, but this year all operators will get to meet with all Tassie Specialists in attendance.

This B2B day is for operators that are contracted with major domestic wholesalers – Infinity Holidays/Flight Centre/Travel Associates, Helloworld/Sunlover/Viva Domestic/Qantas Holidays or Tas Vacations.

Gala dinner - Mona

TasTalk Operators, ITOs and Tassie Specialists are invited to this event.

Famil program

All ITOs and Tassie Specialists will also be offered the opportunity to participate in one of ten pre or post famils to explore Tasmania's regions.

Fees and payment

For the B2B component of the event, the fees noted in the EOI include attendance for one person, a trestle table, a table cloth, light refreshments, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea. Power will not be available at the table and exhibitors are asked to bring enough battery power for their electronic devices. Charging stations will be available within the room during breaks.
