Destination Visitor Survey Progam

Destination Visitor Survey Program, Strategic Regional Research – Tasmania

In late 2008, Tourism Research Australia, in conjunction with local councils and Tourism Tasmania, undertook surveys in five Tasmanian communities to examine the perceptions of the host residents towards tourism within these communities.

Surveys were undertaken in Dorset, Richmond, Bruny Island, Flinders Island, and King Island.

Tourism Research Australia has now published the report, Destination Visitor Survey Program, Strategic Regional Research – Tasmania, Community perceptions of tourism impacts on Tasmanian communities – Stage 1 Summary of Results.

The report contains a summary of the findings of the Tasmanian community surveys. The survey work is funded by Tourism Research Australia.
