In response to the growing global demand for food, wine and beverage as part of the travel experience, Tourism Australia's latest campaign is shining the spotlight on Australia's culinary credentials for the rest of the world to see.

Help us promote Tasmania's culinary tourism experiences to the world

Research conducted by Tourism Australia in 15 of Australia's key tourism markets identified food and beverage as an important factor in holiday decision making and the most important emotive trigger, closely followed by world class beauty.

Tasmania has some of the best food, wine and beverage experiences in the world and we want to let more people know about it. Now we have the opportunity to tell the world about our fantastic culinary experiences in incredible locations as part of the next phase of Tourism Australia's global marketing push, explained further in this video on Tourism Australia's strategy.

How you can get involved

No one knows the best food, wine and beverage experiences of a destination like a local. As part of the campaign, Tourism Australia launched Restaurant Australia. From restaurants to cellar doors and events, all areas of the hospitality, tourism and food, wine and beverage industries are encouraged to get involved and contribute content to an online hub featuring the best of these experiences and promoted to a global audience of millions.

If you are involved in any of the following food, wine or tourism experiences, we encourage you to get on board and tell the story about your product:

  • Farmers markets
  • Food and beverage festivals and events
  • Producers
  • Restaurateurs
  • Cooking schools
  • Food and beverage trails
  • Distillery, cidery, vineyard or brewery
  • Non alcoholic or specialty beverages
  • Food and beverage experience such as tour, berry farm, multi-day walk.
