Tourism Tasmania conducts targeted promotions and marketing activities throughout the year to promote Tasmania as a destination in domestic and international markets as well as help connect potential customers with Tasmanian businesses.
Domestic promotions and marketing activities include print, digital, cinema and television advertisements, advertorials, trade shows, public relations, and media articles and programs. Tourism Tasmania also has an online presence through social media and its consumer website www.discovertasmania.com.au.
Tourism Tasmania also promotes Tasmania and it's tourism experiences in selected international markets through co-operative campaigns and promotions with international partners including airlines, tour operators, wholesalers, inbound tour operators, in-market trade partners and Tourism Australia.
Tourism Tasmania's Visiting Influencers Program supports visits to Tasmania by traditional media from targeted national and international markets to experience what Tasmania offers and to publish positive editorial, blogs and media stories about their experience. See Visiting Influencers Program
Tourism Tasmania works with travel wholesalers and retailers to improve their knowledge and understanding of Tasmania and Tasmanian tourism experiences. The Tasmanian Visitor Survey (TVS), managed by Tourism Tasmania, is a comprehensive survey of visitors to Tasmania. Tourism Tasmania also publishes research on consumer behaviour and market trends.
