Phil manages a small team of communication and research specialists in Tourism Tasmania's operations and planning unit. The two major areas of responsibility are Tourism Tasmania's industry communications and corporate media relations, and its research activities.
The focus of Tourism Tasmania's research is to provide useful and highly relevant research data to Tourism Tasmania's internal business teams, local tourism operators, developers, investors, government agencies and other businesses so they can successfully plan and implement their business and marketing strategies.
The corporate media relations and industry communications area ensures consistent and accurate messages are provided about Tourism Tasmania's projects, programs, data and services. It includes the development of appropriate PR, corporate and industry communications on behalf of the Minister, Chief Executive, Board, and the Authority's business teams.
